Where to Lay Blame

Let’s toss aside the crutch of breed stereotypes. It’s high time we ceased blaming specific breeds for aggressive tendencies and directed that blame towards the true culprits – the owners who neglect proper training and socialization.

Admittedly, certain breeds do have predispositions, but it’s our job to mold those inclinations into positive traits. If your ‘aggressive’ dog spends its days isolated without mental stimulation or physical activity, any breed could succumb to behavioral issues. Quit pointing the finger at the breed; point it squarely at your own inability to provide the necessary environment and guidance.

Acknowledging our own shortcomings can be a tough pill to swallow, but it’s the necessary medicine for responsible ownership.
